וַיִּשְׁלְח֨וּ וַיַּאַסְפ֜וּ אֶת־כָּל־סַרְנֵ֣י פְלִשְׁתִּ֗ים וַיֹּֽאמְרוּ֙ שַׁלְּח֞וּ אֶת־אֲר֨וֹן אֱלֹהֵ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ וְיָשֹׁ֣ב לִמְקֹמ֔וֹ וְלֹֽא־יָמִ֥ית אֹתִ֖י וְאֶת־עַמִּ֑י כִּֽי־הָיְתָ֤ה מְהֽוּמַת־מָ֙וֶת֙ בְּכָל־הָעִ֔יר כָּבְדָ֥ה מְאֹ֛ד יַ֥ד הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים שָֽׁם׃
Kaya nagpasugo sila at tinipon nila ang lahat ng pinuno ng mga Filisteo, at sinabi nila, “Paalisin ninyo ang kaban ng Diyos ng Israel, at hayaan itong bumalik sa sarili nitong lugar, upang hindi nito patayin ako at ang aking bayan.” Sapagkat may nakamamatay na kaguluhan sa buong lungsod; napakabigat ng kamay ng Diyos doon.
